Dushanbe hosts a meeting of Central Asian Deputy Foreign Ministers

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 8 December 2021, a regular meeting of the Deputy Foreign Ministers of the Central Asian countries, organized by the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA), was held in Dushanbe.
The delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan was headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Furkat Sidikov.
The participants of the event discussed the efforts being made in the region to respond to existing challenges and threats, the state and prospects of cooperation with UNRCCA, as well as the opening opportunities for dialogue with youth leaders.
The results of the implementation of the third phase of the joint project "Towards the implementation of the Joint Action Plan within the framework of the UN Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy in Central Asia" were considered. The presentation of the main directions of the fourth phase of the project took place.
Issues of further building up regional cooperation in promoting the "green" agenda, preserving ecology and biodiversity, and rational use of natural resources were discussed.
