Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, on 8 December, the National Day of the Republic of Uzbekistan will be held in a special pavilion of Uzbekistan at the EXPO Dubai 2020 World Exhibition.
As part of the event, a rich cultural program is planned, excursions to the pavilion "Uzbekistan", according to Dunyo news agency reported.
In general, during the period of operation of the national pavilion of Uzbekistan at the EXPO Dubai 2020 exhibition, various cultural events and presentations are planned, a number of which have already taken place and had great success.
Conceived as a showcase of the most modern technologies and a conductor of new world values, EXPO since its foundation in 1851 in London has invariably turned into a parade of outstanding architecture, and the pavilions become the main exhibits of the exhibition. The idea of the pavilion of Uzbekistan echoes the main theme of EXPO 2020 Dubai "Connecting Minds, Creating the Future", which for the first time in history takes place in the Middle East.
Combining the efforts of 192 countries, and their meeting on one site, allows EXPO 2020 to claim the title of a global platform for expanding trade and investment ties, as well as cooperation in the field of innovation, science, culture and socially significant projects.
The EXPO World Exhibition is held every five years and is one of the oldest and largest events in the world. Over the 170-year history of the event, the event has become a historical showcase, demonstrating inventions and technologies. At the World Exhibition in Vienna in 1873, in addition to technical and industrial innovations, a number of artistic products were demonstrated for the first time. Since then, culture and art have remained indispensable companions of the EXPO program throughout the world.
The current exhibition in Dubai runs from 1 October 2021 to 31 March 2022. It is organized at the Al Wasl Exhibition Center. There are 192 pavilions of the participating countries in the three thematic areas of EXPO 2020, displaying unique architecture, culture and exhibits from around the world. It is expected that over the entire period of the exhibition will be visited by 25 million people. More than 60 events are held in the pavilions every day.
