Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As we already reported, on 5-6 December 2021, at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the State visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev took place.
During this visit, a number of bilateral events took place, within which the heads of state discussed in detail the current state and prospects of mutually beneficial partnership between countries based on the principles of friendship and good neighborliness.
One of the main topics of the talks between the leaders of the two countries is the further development of economic interaction.
It should be noted that thanks to the creation of favorable conditions, trade has been steadily growing over the past five years. If in 2016 mutual trade barely reached two billion dollars (US$1.8 billion), today, only in 10 months, it has already reached US$3.2 billion.
Thus, reaching the announced five billion next year has its grounds. This will also be facilitated by successfully implemented large cooperation projects in various sectors of the economy.
A striking example of this is the projects for the assembly of Ravon vehicles (30 thousand units per year), mounted and trailed equipment (5 thousand units) at the Saryarka-Avtoprom areas and Artel household appliances (up to 500 thousand units). gas stoves) in Turkestan, in September the production of Samavto buses (600 units) was launched.
In addition, textile and clothing products are jointly produced in Turkestan and Chimkent. The production of electrical engineering has been launched. In 2022, the production of ovens and water heaters "Artel" (100 thousand units) will be launched.
On the agenda are significant projects in the chemical industry, construction, agriculture, pharmaceuticals and others.
Over the past five years, the number of enterprises with Kazakh capital in Uzbekistan has increased 4.5 times. Today in our republic there are 1,056 Kazakh enterprises, and in Kazakhstan - 1,200 enterprises with Uzbek capital.
Indeed, over the past years, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan have achieved truly impressive progress in the development of bilateral trade and economic relations and are confidently moving towards new horizons.
The mutually beneficial partnership between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan is an example of building a competent policy of the Presidents of the two countries, aimed at ensuring the well-being of their peoples and sustainable development of countries in modern realities.
