Ipoteka Bank’s assets increase 19.5% in eight months

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Joint-stock commercial mortgage bank Ipoteka (Ipoteka Bank) said its capital grew by 10.4% in eight months of 2009 to 105.5 billion soums.
The bank’s assets rose by 19.5% in the reporting period to 1.266 trillion soums. The balance of the credit investment grew by 20% to 410.5 billion soums.
Deposits at the bank grew by 31% in January-August 2009 to 472 billion soums. Population’s deposit increased by 41% to 98.3 billion soums.
Ipoteka Bank said it serves about 520,000 banking cards as of 1 September 2009. Transaction volume with banking cards comprised 231.4 billion soums in eight months of 2009, or increased by 42.1% year-on-year.
Balance on the cards made up 33.9 billion soums as of 1 September 2009, or up 53% year-on-year.
