Russian manufacturers to supply utility vehicles to Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Within the framework of the international industrial exhibition "INNOPROM: Big Industrial Week in Uzbekistan", a tripartite agreement was signed between the khokimiyat of the city of Tashkent, the state development corporation VEB.RF and JSC Russian Export Center (VEB.RF group).
The document provides for the joint implementation of a project to update and expand the park of municipal and road equipment for the relevant services of the city of Tashkent. Thus, the Russian side is expected to supply more than 130 units of equipment worth 1.25 billion rubles.
VEB, AO EXIAR and AO ROSEKSIMBANK (REC group) will provide financing for the project within the framework of their credit and insurance products to support Russian exports. REC, in turn, will involve Russian manufacturers in the implementation of the program, while part of the equipment will be assembled directly in Uzbekistan at the UzAuto Trailer LLC jointly with KAMAZ PJSC and manufacturers of specialized superstructures.
“The potential for cooperation in the supply of municipal equipment is more than 5 billion rubles,” said Daniil Algulyan, Deputy Chairman - Member of the Board of VEB.RF. - Uzbekistan is one of the key directions for VEB.RF, a partner that has been proving its reliability for several years. The supply of municipal equipment will help strengthen our cooperation. Russia will have the opportunity to increase the export of mechanical engineering products, the residents of Tashkent - reliable and efficient equipment, thanks to which their city will become even more beautiful and comfortable. "
“Cooperation with the khokimiyat of the city of Tashkent opens up great prospects for the implementation of bilateral Russian-Uzbek projects for the development of urban infrastructure in literally all areas - from the supply of equipment and technical complexes to the“ Smart City ”systems. A typical and important feature for a project on municipal equipment is an example of bilateral cooperation - the assembly of a piece of equipment in Uzbekistan jointly with Russian companies,” explained Veronika Nikishina, Director General of REC JSC.
