Israeli Embassy donates sanitation and hygiene equipment to schools in the capital

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Israeli Embassy handed over to 12 schools in the city of Tashkent the sanitation and hygiene products that are so necessary during the pandemic: Cleanbox air purifiers and disinfectants, developed by Uzbek scientist Amir Abidov, winner of Start-up Haifa, sanitizers, masks, thermometers.
Since the early days of the pandemic, Israel has set itself the goal of supporting efforts in the fight against COVID-19 around the world. Over the past year, many countries have received aid from Israel, including Uzbekistan. The Israeli Embassy in Uzbekistan has focused its activities on supporting vulnerable groups of the population. In 2020, the Embassy has repeatedly provided assistance to various charitable organizations and foundations.
Despite the fact that the situation with the coronavirus in Uzbekistan has stabilized, the Israeli Embassy handed over air purifiers, sanitizers, masks and thermometers to the Ministry of Public Education to further maintain the sanitary level, as well as so that more and more children can return to their usual form of study.
The handover ceremony was held at school No 225 in Yashnabad district with the participation of the Minister of Public Education Sherzod Shermatov and the Ambassador of the State of Israel Zeavit Ben Hillel.
The embassy plans to continue working closely with the Ministry of Public Education and implementing projects for the benefit of the children of Uzbekistan.
