Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 2 March, the Minister of Health of Uzbekistan Abdukhakim Khadzhibayev in Moscow presented the head of the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing of Russia (Rospotrebnadzor) Anna Popova with the Mehr-Sakhovat (Mercy and generosity) badge, Dunyo news agency reported.
According to the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Russia, during the ceremony, the head of Rospotrebnadzor cordially thanked President Shavkat Mirziyoyev for the high award.
During the pandemic, leading Russian specialists were sent to Uzbekistan to provide methodological and practical assistance to their Uzbek colleagues in the fight against the pandemic. Rospotrebnadzor also provided Uzbekistan with test kits for conducting 140 thousand studies, which made it possible to timely identify and prevent the spread of coronavirus infection. In addition, this department, in cooperation with the RPO AIDS Infosvyaz and UNAIDS, provided our country with a mobile diagnostic complex designed to provide primary health care, obstetric, gynecological, cardiological and urological care, as well as services for the examination and detection of especially dangerous infections (HIV, COVID-19 and others).
The "Mehr Sakhovat" badge was established in accordance with the Presidential Decree of May 26, 2020 in order to encourage compatriots, as well as foreign citizens who have shown courage and courage in overcoming trials during the spread of the coronavirus pandemic and who have made a great contribution to comprehensive support of socially vulnerable segments of the population by providing them with gratuitous assistance.
