Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 25 January 2021, the National Center of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Human Rights, in cooperation with the Regional Office of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime in Central Asia, held a webinar for heads of customs authorities on the topic: “The role and tasks of judicial and law enforcement agencies in ensuring the rights of victims of human trafficking and forced labor”.
The webinar was hosted by Mr. Mark Bentley, an internationally recognized expert from the UK on investigating various forms of cybercrime, as well as on countering human trafficking and protecting children, including on the Internet.
The international expert showed specific approaches, techniques and methods of investigating crimes of trafficking in persons using the capabilities of the Internet.
The classes were based on concrete practical examples using digital technologies and were useful for both operational and investigative units.
Discussion of questions with the participants of the webinar was held in a live interactive form.
