The activities of the judiciary to be financed from the state budget

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The President’s Decree "On measures to radically improve the system of financing the activities of the judiciary" was adopted in Uzbekistan.

In accordance with the Decree, starting from 2021, the financing of salaries and additional payments to judges and employees of the Constitutional Court, the High Judicial Council, the Supreme Court, lower courts, the Higher School of Judges and their staff, employees of the Department for ensuring the activities of courts at the Supreme Court and its territorial departments are carried out entirely at the expense of the State budget.

At the same time, the following payments until 1 October 2021 are made at the expense of the Fund for the Development of the Judiciary, from 1 October 2021 - at the expense of the republican budget:

- seniority allowances - for judges of the courts, the High Judicial Council and employees of their staff, employees of the Department for the provision of courts at the Supreme Court and its territorial divisions;

- additional payment for the qualification class and class rank - to the judges of the Supreme Court, the High Judicial Council and employees of their staff, employees of the Department for ensuring the activities of courts at the Supreme Court and its territorial divisions.

The decree approved the wage grades according to the wage scale of judges, court staff, employees of the High Judicial Council, as well as the Higher School of Judges, the Department for the Support of Courts under the Supreme Court and its territorial divisions.
