A government commission set up to study the causes of the collapse of a part of the house in Jizzakh

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A government commission has been formed to study the causes of the collapse of a part of a six-storey residential building under construction in Jizzakh. This was reported by the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers.
The commission was created in accordance with the order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan. First Deputy Prime Minister Achilbay Ramatov headed the commission.
The commission included representatives of the General Prosecutor's Office, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Ministry of Construction, the State Committee for Industrial Safety and other ministries and departments, as well as specialists from contractors and experts.
The government commission will study the reasons for the collapse of the building, the factors that contributed to this, the compliance of the design and contractor organizations with urban planning norms and rules during the construction process.
Also, the commission should analyze the current regulatory documents and make proposals to prevent similar cases in the future.
On 10 January, a part of the building on ul. Mustakillik, in which the first two floors were planned to be used for shops, and apartments on the third or sixth were to be located, collapsed.
According to the Government of Uzbekistan, the Chorvador-Korakul-Baraka was constructing the building.
