Ferghana TPS successfully commissioned a 17 MW gas turbine unit

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A highly efficient gas turbine unit with a capacity of 17 MW was launched at Ferghana thermal power station, which should help to cover the need for electricity in the Ferghana region.
Commissioning works are underway.
According to the press service of Thermal Power Stations, the implementation of this project will allow the company to additionally generate 197.24 million kWh of electric energy annually, as well as 214.5 thousand Gcal of thermal energy. At the same time, fuel savings will amount to about 3.2 million cubic meters of natural gas per year.
It is worth noting that at the first stage of the implementation of this project in December 2019, a 7 MW gas turbine unit was commissioned, located 17 km from Ferghana thermal power station, next to the boiler house RK-3.
The project was implemented in accordance with the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from 21 February 2017 “On measures to implement the project “Implementation of highly efficient cogeneration gas turbine technologies at Ferghana CHP and Ferghana boiler house RK-3”.
