Emergency automatics activated at five TPPs in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In connection with the unscheduled outages that occurred on the power lines of the unified energy system connecting Central Asia and Kazakhstan, emergency automation was activated. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy.
The triggered technological protection of the equipment, in order to avoid damage to the interior of the power units, automatically turned off the CCGT:
Turakurgan TPP load, which decreased from 750 MW to 500 MW,
Takhiatash TPP from 280 MW to 150 MW,
Navoi TPP from 450 MW to 230 MW,
Tashkent TPP, from 370 MW to 180 MW, and two CCGT units of Talimarzhan TPP with a total capacity of 900 MW were automatically shut down.
At present, the regime of the Takhiatash, Tashkent and Turakurgan TPPs has been fully restored. Restoration work is underway at the Talimarjan TPP.
The causes of the emergency are being studied.
There will be short-term power outages in the coming hours. The Ministry of Energy apologizes for any inconvenience caused.
