A branch of VGIK to open in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On the third day of the Week of Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan, the conference "Cinematography of Uzbekistan: past, present, future" is being held.
The participants of the event watched a video message from the rector of the All-Russian State Institute of Cinematography Vladimir Malyshev and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Russia Bakhrom Ashrafkhanov.
As it was announced, fruitful negotiations were recently held and issues of cooperation in the field of creative film education were discussed.
“Mutual understanding has been achieved. We will strive to organize a branch of VGIK in Tashkent,” Vladimir Malyshev said.
This year, 7 young people from Uzbekistan have already become students of this educational institution. Due to the pandemic, their training takes place online.
