Samples of Russian vaccine against COVID-19 arrive in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov personally delivered samples of the COVID-19 vaccine Sputnik V to Tashkent. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia.
Vaccines were transferred to the first deputy head of the Sanitary-Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health Service of Uzbekistan Kholmamat Norboev.
Samples of the Sputnik V vaccine will be used in Uzbekistan for testing required for registration. It is expected that Uzbekistan will establish industrial production of the vaccine in the country.
It should be noted that according to the Russian Federation, the effectiveness indicators of the Sputnik V vaccine are over 95%; they have been demonstrated in the framework of large-scale clinical trials with the participation of 40,000 volunteers in Russia.
