Former police officers sentenced for death of person

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – In May 2020, officers of the fourth department of internal affairs of the Andijan city department for coordinating the activities of the internal affairs department, illegally detaining citizen A. Abdukarimov, in order to force him to confess, pressure was exerted on him with the use of violence, as a result of which the detainee died.

Of course, everyone, after reading this news, does not justify the actions of the police officers, whom our people believe and who guard the world.

This caused a lot of discussion on social networks, was taken under the control of the Committee on Defense and Security of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

On this case, the verdict of the Judicial Collegium for Criminal Cases of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan was announced on 27 November 2020.

D. Khamraliev (who worked as an operative of the fourth department of internal affairs of the Andijan city department for coordinating the activities of the police department) was sentenced to imprisonment for a period of 9 years with the deprivation of the right to work in the internal affairs bodies and in other positions for 2 years.

V. Kadyrov (who worked as an operative of the fourth department of internal affairs of the Andijan city department for coordinating the activities of the internal affairs department) was sentenced to imprisonment for a period of 10 years with the deprivation of the right to work in the internal affairs bodies and in other positions for 2 years.

E. Rayimjanov (who worked as an operative of the fourth department of internal affairs of the Andijan city department for coordinating the activities of the internal affairs department) was sentenced to 10 years in prison with deprivation of the right to work in the internal affairs bodies and in other positions for 2 years.

F. Khusanbaev (who worked as an operative of the fourth department of internal affairs of the Andijan city department for coordinating the activities of the internal affairs department) was sentenced to 10 years in prison with the deprivation of the right to work in the internal affairs bodies and in other positions for 2 years.

P. Mamajonov (who worked as an operative of the fourth department of internal affairs of the Andijan city department for coordinating the activities of the police department) was sentenced to imprisonment for a period of 8 years and 6 months with the deprivation of the right to work in the internal affairs bodies and in other positions for 2 years.

A. Turakulov (who worked as an operative of the fourth department of internal affairs of the Andijan city department for coordinating the activities of the police department) was sentenced to imprisonment for a period of 1 year with deprivation of the right to work in the internal affairs bodies and in other positions for 1 year.
