Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Along with pilgrim tourism, Muslim hospitality services are also developing in Uzbekistan. The State Committee for Tourism Development is carrying out a number of measures to form the infrastructure of tourist destinations for all categories of tourists visiting our country, including pilgrims.
Over the past two months, the Ark Billur Hotel has become one of the first hotels in Uzbekistan to receive 6 points out of the maximum 7 points of the organization in assessing the compliance of hotels, restaurants and other tourist facilities with the requirements of Muslim hospitality for Muslim travelers around the world.
Pilaf Center "Kamolon" was one of the first restaurants in the country to receive an "AA" rating (maximum "AAA") by an organization and is internationally recognized as a restaurant that meets the requirements of Muslim hospitality.
CrescentRating works closely with government agencies to expand its activities in Uzbekistan. To ensure the continuity of this work, on 14 October 2020, an online meeting was held between the State Committee for Tourism Development, the Singapore organization CrescentRating and Uzstandard.
The main goal of the meeting is to establish cooperation between CrescentRating and "Uzstandard", to exchange views on the coordination of certificates issued for Muslim tourism services.
As a result of the meeting, it was agreed that CrescentRating would send detailed proposals on the work to be done within the framework of cooperation to the Standardization Agency. The head of the agency's international cooperation department, Abdullahon Orifbaev, said that the agency is ready to cooperate with the organization.
