Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Chairman of the Board of Uzbekneftegaz Mehriddin Abdullayev and members of the Working Group visited the construction site to study the situation after the incident at the Uzbekneftegaz GTL plant under construction in Guzar district of Kashkadarya region.
The Chairman of the Board met with the head of ENTER Engineering, which is the general contractor for construction works, and got acquainted with the existing conditions created for workers involved in construction and installation works.
He also held an open dialogue with workers who protested and participated in the process of events, studying problematic issues in detail.
An agreement was reached to create better conditions for work, food, recreation and accommodation for employees.
All the shortcomings that have existed so far have been identified, and measures have been developed to eliminate them as soon as possible.
In addition, the members of the Working Group, headed by the Chairman of the Management Board, paid special attention to the implementation of the Uzbekneftegaz GTL investment project, the implementation of construction and installation works, commissioning of a number of equipment and technological units at the plant, as well as the training of operating personnel.
They also got acquainted with the work carried out at the Uzbekneftegaz GTL plant for the supply of electricity, raw materials, water, fuel and gas, fire extinguishing systems and Fisher-Tropsch reactors with a total weight of more than 8,000 tonnes.
It should be noted that with the commissioning of this plant, 3.6 billion cubic meters of purified natural gas (methane) will be processed per year and the production of 1.5 million tonnes of high-quality synthetic liquid fuel will be achieved, including more than 307,000 tonnes of jet fuel, 724,000 tonnes diesel fuel, 437,000 tonnes of oil, naphtha, raw materials for the chemical industry and 53,000 tonnes of liquefied gas.
Currently, the project has been completed by 90.9%, including construction and installation work completed by 76.3%; in total, about 12,000 workers are involved in the construction site (of which 1,771 specialists are foreign citizens) and 719 units of special equipment and mechanisms. Start-up and adjustment works have been started at a number of technological units of the plant.
