Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, by his decree, appointed Boriy Alikhanov and Nariman Umarov as members of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan.
In this regard, the Central Election Commission made a decision to exclude Boriy Alikhanov and Narimon Umarov from the list of deputies of the Legislative Chamber and register them as members of the Senate.
At the eighth plenary session, Boriy Alikhanov was unanimously elected as the head of the newly formed Committee for the Development of the Aral Sea Region.
In turn, Nariman Umarov was elected Chairman of the Senate Committee on Judicial and Legal Issues and Anti-Corruption.
