Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- It should be noted that within a period not exceeding 72 hours before returning to Uzbekistan, citizens take a PCR test for "COVID-19", the results of which in some cases come out positive, the Foreign Ministry of Uzbekistan said.
The Consulate General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Istanbul notes that according to the protocols of the concerned ministries and departments of Turkey, foreign citizens who have insurance in the event of the disease "COVID-19" are treated in state clinics free of charge. In addition, in case of a milder illness, the tourist stays in a specialized hotel room for a period of 10-14 days, while the costs are also covered by insurance.
At the same time, there are cases when our citizens who had direct contact with infected persons are forced to stay in mandatory quarantine in hotels. At the same time, insurance, in these cases, does not cover the costs of staying in a hotel, since the citizen is not infected with "COVID-19".
In this regard, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry urged Uzbek citizens who intend to visit Turkey through various channels, without fail:
- purchase medical insurance in case of infection with "COVID-19";
- to provide for the inclusion in the insurance contract of a clause on covering the costs of compulsory quarantine in case of contact with infected "COVID-19" if the result of the PCR test is negative;
- to obtain from insurance agents a specific algorithm of actions in case of infection with coronavirus.
At the same time, in order to prevent infection with "COVID-19", as well as in connection with the tightening of quarantine measures by law enforcement agencies, we recommend observing antiviral hygiene measures, as well as social distance.
