Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The State Customs Committee of Uzbekistan adopted a resolution "On amendments to the Instruction on customs procedures carried out during customs inspection and inspection of goods and taking a sample".
The document was developed in accordance with the Customs Code, as well as presidential decrees dated 20.03.2020 No. UP-5971 "On amendments and additions, as well as invalidating some acts of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan" and No. UP- 6005 "On reforming customs administration and improving the activities of the bodies of the state customs service of the Republic of Uzbekistan."

Clause 14 introduces the requirement to connect a video surveillance system during customs inspection of imported goods not only to the central office of the State Customs Committee, but also to its departments in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regions and the city of Tashkent, as well as to the specialized customs complex "Toshkent-AERO";
Clause 14 is also supplemented by a paragraph on the need for customs inspection of goods that cannot be placed in the inspection places due to their size or other physical and chemical measurements and qualities, using mobile video cameras at the delivery points of the goods, after which they are stored for three months;
the addition to clause 31 implies the inspection of goods by the declarant on the basis of a written or electronic appeal of the declarant to the customs authority only on the territory of the customs warehouse. The written or electronic appeal of the declarant is registered in the electronic information system of the customs authority;
the addition to clause 32 implies the possibility of an inspection by the declarant prior to the submission of the cargo customs declaration, unless there is an order from the customs authorities to examine the goods. In this case, the official of the customs authority must include information on the results of the inspection in the act.
