Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 3 October 2020, a presentation of a historical series dedicated to Khorezmshah Jaloliddin Manguberdi, a famous commander who bravely fought against Genghis Khan, was held in Tashkent.

A trailer and the first part of a multi-part historical and feature film were presented at the presentation.
The organizers of the project were the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Public Fund for the Support and Development of National Mass Media, and Best organizer LLC. The general sponsor of the project is Orient Finans Bank. The series was filmed by the Turkish company Bozdag Film.
Before the start of work on the series "Mendirman Jaloliddin" in Tashkent in September 2019, an international scientific and practical conference "Jaloliddin Manguberdi: life and artistic embodiment in films" was held to discuss the ideological interpretation and script of the film.
The conference, organized by the Ministry of Culture and a number of partner organizations, was attended by leading scientists and historians from Uzbekistan, Turkey, Azerbaijan and Iran, who discussed the biography of Jaloliddin Manguberdi and the interpretation of the events taking place at that time.
The filming of the series was entrusted to the Bozdag film, which has extensive experience in the production of historical films and has won a well-deserved place in the international cinema arena. It is worth noting that the series "Resurrected Ertugrul" was shown in 85 countries of the world, it was watched by more than 2 billion people.
After the conference, intensive collaboration between producers, directors, screenwriters, historians, consultants, artists, art directors, architects and costume designers began.
Experienced actors from Uzbekistan and Turkey were attracted to participate in the series, who underwent a tough casting. The actors had to undergo special training to participate in battle scenes, learn horse riding and fencing. And also learn the language so that there are no difficulties in communication.
The atmosphere of our country of the 13th century was revived on the Bozdag film site, specially built on an area of 30 hectares in Turkey. Above the two-storey palace of the Khorezmshah, 5.5 meters high, which occupied an area of 3,500 square meters, 1,200 workers worked. Hundreds of meters of palace walls, a magnificent throne room, rooms with magnificent decoration, monumental gates and doors with fine carvings, a harem courtyard - this building resembles a real palace of the 13th century and does not at all look like a set for a film. The streets of Gurganch, residential buildings, the central market were also decorated in accordance with that time.
More than 200 tailors worked on the creation of historical costumes based on the sketches of Uzbek and Turkish artists. The desert battle scenes were filmed in Aksaray, 750 km from Istanbul.
The first season of the series consists of 13 episodes and is scheduled to premiere in January 2021.
