Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In Navoi region, 90% of the planned scope of work has been completed in preparation for the region for a stable supply of electricity in the autumn-winter period of 2020-2021.
According to the work schedule, this year the joint-stock company Navoi Enterprise of Territorial Regional Electric Networks (PTES) will repair 3,665 km of overhead power transmission lines, 55 substations and 946 transformer stations. At the moment, 90 percent of this volume has been completed. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy together with the information service of NPTES
In addition, in order to prevent interruptions in the supply of electricity to consumers in the autumn-winter period, the enterprise has created a reserve of 25 transformer stations of various capacities with reserves of 10 tons of transformer oil.
At present, work is also underway to clean up 1190.2 kilometers of 0.4-10-35 kV power transmission lines from tree branches. in these power lines, work is also underway to replace defective insulators, lay wires between the supports. In addition to the fact that this ongoing work will ensure the stability of the region’s energy supply, reduce losses in the industry, it will also serve to increase the efficiency of electricity metering.
Measures were approved to reduce the load on the power system at the maximum consumption time, which is especially important to ensure uninterrupted power supply to the population and social consumers in the autumn-winter period. In particular, the development and implementation of work schedules for industrial equipment during the evening maximum load will help to reduce peak loads. Such schedules were developed jointly by specialists of the Navoi PTES and energy-intensive enterprises of the region.
In each district of Navoi region, special repair teams have been created, equipped with everything necessary to quickly eliminate any problems related to energy consumption.
In addition to preparations for the autumn-winter period, other planned work continues in the region’s power supply. Thus, the maintenance service of high-voltage networks in 2020 plans to overhaul 244.3 km of 35-110 kV overhead power lines. To date, 180.3 km have been repaired.
