Uzbekistan exports over 81,000 tonnes of peach to 11 countries of the world

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As of 1 September, more than 81,000 tonnes of peaches worth US$62.0 million were exported from Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan reports. This is 27,500 tonnes more than in the same period of last year.
According to the report, Kazakhstan is the leader in the purchase of peaches grown in the orchards of Uzbekistan - 38.2 thousand tonnes.
In addition, 33.9 thousand tonnes of fruit were exported to the Russian Federation and 9.0 thousand tonnes to Kyrgyzstan.
Earlier EastFruit wrote that as of 1 September 2020, more than 51 thousand tonnes of grapes worth US$46.8 million were sent for export from the Republic of Uzbekistan, which is 10,400 tonnes more than in the same period of last year.
According to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan, the largest share of exported grapes falls on Fergana (15.3 thousand tonnes), Tashkent (9.6 thousand tonnes), Namangan (7.2 thousand tonnes), Khorezm (3.6 thousand tonnes) and Kashkadarya. (3.1 thousand tonnes).
