VEB.RF business mission to visit Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - VEB.RF State Corporation, with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan, will organize a business mission to Tashkent on 17 September.
According to VEB.RF, within its framework, entrepreneurs and government officials will discuss potential export projects of Russian-Uzbek cooperation.
The event will be attended by representatives of the financial, telecommunications, engineering, transport, energy, medical and other sectors of the Russian economy, including KAMAZ, VimpelCom, Transmashholding, LANIT, Gazprombank, Hevel, Eidos- Medicine".
VEB.RF Group actively participates in the development of economic relations between the two countries. In 2019-2020. transactions for the supply of Russian cars for the Tashkent metro, equipment for the power industry were successfully completed. In May 2020, within the framework of a loan agreement with the National Bank, financing was opened for a project for the supply of mainline freight electric locomotives manufactured by Transmashholding to Uzbekistan.
In Uzbekistan, with the participation of VEB.RF and the Russian Export Center, 15 projects are being implemented with a total cost of 63 billion rubles, and 19 projects are under consideration for the amount of 542 billion rubles.
Igor Shuvalov, Chairman of VEB.RF, noted: “Uzbekistan is one of the largest partners in export projects. We are developing multifaceted cooperation, including through the SCO Interbank Consortium. The purpose of our business mission is to identify the points of development of the economies of both countries in the post-pandemic period. Uzbekistan is a huge market for Russian business, our export products and technologies. I am sure that the event will allow us to draw up a map of projects in which the pooling of financial resources and competencies will give new energy for economic growth in the Greater Eurasia.”
