Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The 35th meeting of the CIS Electric Power Council has kicked off in Baku, Azerbaijan.
The meeting brought together representatives of the relevant bodies of Azerbaijan, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine and Moldova, as well as a delegation from Iran.
The meeting will discuss the performance of the CIS power systems in 2008-2009, implementation of the agreement on the parallel operation of power systems, development of action plans for projects within the scope of the CIS Electricity Cooperation Concept etc.
The CIS Electric Power Council was established in 1992.
