Millionth engine produced at UzAuto Motors Powertrain plant
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 24 July, a jubilee product - 1,000,000th engine was produced at the UzAuto Motors Powertrain plant. Today, the plant produces second-generation B-DOHC automotive engines in 1.2L and 1.5L displacement, with an annual nominal production capacity of 225,000 units.
On the occasion of the solemn event, the head of the company, Farhad Turaev, noted the work and professionalism of the entire team, which contributed their knowledge and experience to the development of the enterprise. Since its foundation in 2009 and the release of the first engine in 2012, UMPT has come a long way, reaching an ever higher level of integrated quality, having received the ISO 9001 quality certificate in 2014, the level of integrated quality "BIQ 3" in 2015 and "BIQ 4" in 2018.
Today the UzAuto Motors Powertrain plant is rightfully one of the leading enterprises in the industry and makes a worthy contribution to the development of the economy of our country. In 2020, the company plans to produce 242 thousand engines, or approximately 950 engines per day, which exceeds the factory’s rated capacity of 225 thousand units. in year. For the future, UMPT continues to work on introducing the production of a new generation of engines for the new line of vehicles from 2022.
UMPT also places great value on the environment. In 2014, the company implemented an environmental management system and received the ISO 14001 international certificate, and in 2018 implemented the ISO 50001 energy management system, achieving a reduction in energy consumption and an improved culture of energy saving. The company has installed a unique wastewater treatment plant, which allows it to purify wastewater to the lowest level in terms of the content of oil products in wastewater.
