Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – Akmal Burkhanov was appointed director of the new Anti-Corruption Agency.
Prior to this appointment, Akmal Burkhanov, since January 2019, worked as the head of the Yuksalish National Movement.
The Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan was established in late June by the Decree of the head of state.
The Agency is a specially authorized state body responsible for the formation and implementation of state policy in the field of preventing and combating corruption. The agency reports to the President and reports to the chambers of the Oliy Majlis.
