A new approach to building bridges over waterways

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At present, Uzbekistan Temir Yollari is actively working on the implementation of the Pap - Namangan - Andijan railway electrification project. To date, more than 70% of the electrification of the 100-kilometer section of Namangan - Andijan has been completed.
As part of the project, artificial structures are being built, among which there are ones that deserve special attention. For example, railroad workers needed to lay a railway over one of the largest irrigation facilities in the Ferghana Valley - the Andijan Canal. The fact is that the main supports of the bridge under construction were installed earlier and at the same time the water flow in the channel of the channel was blocked. Currently, in the hot period, when water is especially needed for irrigation of crops, blocking the flow of the canal is unacceptable and our builders faced the task of building a railroad without resorting to such extreme measures.
Specialists of Boshtransloyiha developed a special project, and special steel structures for the bridge were made for the construction of this important structure at the Andijan Mechanical Plant. To date, the builders of Trest Kuprikkurilish have installed reinforced concrete beams on poles and completed construction and installation works. Now the final events are being held there.
It should be noted that during the construction process much attention was paid to the safety of workers, the work was carried out in strict accordance with the rules and safety precautions at the construction site.
Soon, the work within the framework of the above project will be completed and the ring railway of the Ferghana Valley with a length of 331 km will be closed, while it will already be fully electrified. This will allow local residents to move around the region by electric trains, including high-speed ones, reducing the time interval on the way.
