Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ministry of Justice has developed a draft resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan aimed at further supporting the population in emergency situations of a natural and man-made nature. What is envisaged by the project?
An exemption is established from 1 January 2021 from payments of individuals affected by natural and man-made emergencies, including a domestic catastrophe (a fire or a fall in a residential or non-residential building, a vehicle fire) in Uzbekistan and in foreign countries, and contacting the appropriate state authorities to recover lost or unusable documents.
In this regard, the draft resolution provides for the approval of a list of 18 types of documents exempted from payments. In particular:
certificates of birth, marriage (divorce) and death;
ID card of a citizen of the Republic of Uzbekistan and a biometric passport for traveling abroad, an identification ID card of a stateless person permanently residing in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan and a foreign citizen;
documents on education based on samples approved by the state (certificate, diploma, certificate, certificate);
military card and military officer card in reserve;
certificate of state registration of the vehicle;
driver’s license;
duplicates of notarized documents and extract from the register;
cadastral passport of real estate and others.
In addition, the project establishes that the facts of emergency situations, as well as domestic accidents in the territory of Uzbekistan, are confirmed by the Ministry of Emergencies, in the event of such situations in the territory of a foreign state, they are confirmed by the authorized state department of that state or on the basis of a certificate issued by diplomatic missions and consular offices of the Republic of Uzbekistan abroad through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The adoption of this document can be considered as a clear example of measures taken to further social and legal support and protection of our citizens.
