Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- From 6 July 2020, the process of enrolling students in the 1st grade of secondary schools for the 2020-2021 academic year begins.
Taking into account the conditions of the pandemic, documents of students of the 1st grade will be accepted:
from 6 to 31 July - within the attached microdistrict;
from 1 to 25 August - outside the microdistrict, depending on the capacity of schools.
Also, in order to prevent the accumulation of parents in schools under quarantine, the first-graders’ submission process in Tashkent will be carried out for the first time online through qabul.maktab.uz.
If the program is successfully implemented in Tashkent, from the next school year it will be gradually implemented in other regions.
For admission to grade 1, the following documents are required:
Application addressed to the director;
Copy of the birth certificate of the child;
Copies of passports of parents;
Medical certificate on the health of the child;
4 color photographs of a child measuring 3.5 x 4.5 cm;
“Teachers and psychologists of the school will carry out explanatory work with parents intending to submit documents for children who are not yet 6.5 years old as of August 31 of the corresponding year. We would like to remind you once again that it is better to send children of preschool age to preschool institutions,” the press service of the INR said.
Questions, suggestions and complaints regarding the admission of your child to the 1st grade of secondary schools can be sent to the district (city) departments of public education.
“We ask parents to strictly observe quarantine rules and maintain social distance while attending school,” the state body said.
In the 2020-2021 academic year, a total of 650,116 first-graders are planned to be admitted to schools.
