Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Leading Turkish media - The Anatolian Anadolu News Agency continues to regularly inform the public of its country about the most notable events in Uzbekistan, Dunyo reported.
According to the information of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Turkey, an article was posted on the agency’s website under the heading “Business circles welcome Tashkent’s steps to support export”, dedicated to measures of the Uzbek government to support the economy during the coronavirus pandemic.
The article emphasizes that the Government of Uzbekistan, starting in March, made a number of decisions to support domestic companies, including announcing that it covered half of the transport costs of exporters.
It was noted that the exporting companies of Uzbekistan welcome the steps taken by the government of the republic to support the economy against the backdrop of damage from the new coronavirus infection pandemic. Previously, this rule applied only to expenses on rail transport, and from April 1, exporters will be compensated for half the transport costs also in the case of deliveries of goods by road or air, the article says.
“The decision of the government helps not only to prevent a decrease in export volumes, but also to maintain the flow of financial resources into the country. The subsidies concerned the supply of fruits, vegetables, textiles and knitwear, which make up a significant part of the country's exports,” Anadolu agency writes.
