Doctors of Uzbekistan and Turkey exchanged experience in the fight against Covid-19

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Representatives of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Bukhara State Medical University, Tashkent Medical University held a videoconference with colleagues from the Medical University (Sağlık Bilimleri Üniversitesi) of Turkey, Dunyo reported.
During the event, which was organized by the Embassy of our country in Turkey, an exchange of experience and information took place between the two countries' experts on combating Covid-19 and the consequences of the global pandemic.
The meeting participants reviewed the practical aspects of the prevention and treatment of new coronavirus infection, and discussed the status and prospects of cooperation in this area. The event also touched on the details of bilateral cooperation in the field of health education.
The parties discussed such topics as the course of Covid-19 disease in patients of different age categories, the characteristic features of a new type of coronavirus infection, specific symptoms of this disease, diagnostic methods, treatment protocols, vaccination and drug studies, monitoring of recovered patients and other issues.
Particular attention is paid to the latest techniques for the treatment of critically ill patients in intensive care units.
The participants were genuinely interested in the results of treatment of patients with the use of blood plasma who had been ill, as well as plans for the widespread introduction of this technique in the future.
Information on the measures taken by the leadership of Uzbekistan to prevent and overcome the crisis manifestations of the global problem of Covid-19 aroused great interest among representatives of Turkey.
The meeting noted that the consequences of the global crisis were largely overcome in Uzbekistan thanks to timely and decisive measures. As was emphasized, in Uzbekistan most of the patients have already recovered, and the number of deaths from this disease remains very low.
According to the parties, the dialogue was very useful and made it possible to enrich the knowledge about the new coronavirus and its treatment methods. An agreement was reached on further maintaining contacts and holding similar events on a regular basis.
