Uzbekistan sends humanitarian aid received to Tajikistan for US$2.5 million in past period 2020

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Asia-Plus Tajik news agency informed that since January 2020, Tajikistan has received humanitarian assistance from Uzbekistan for a total of US$2.5 million, Dunyo news agency reported.
For four months of this year, Tajikistan received humanitarian assistance from 43 countries worth US$7 million 787 thousand, Asia-Plus reports, relying on data from the Statistical Agency under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.
Assistance from neighboring Uzbekistan makes up almost a third of the total amount received in the country. The top three donors to Tajikistan also included China (about US$2 million) and Russia (US$865,000).
Earlier, Tajik media reported on the availability of everything necessary for the treatment of Covid-19 patients and the readiness to receive almost a thousand patients in Dushanbe with a new mobile hospital, deployed at the Bofanda stadium in the capital. It is emphasized that 144 cars and everything necessary for a mobile hospital, including air conditioners, were sent to Tajikistan by Tajikistan.
