Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As part of international cooperation in the fight against coronavirus infection, as well as to help prevent the spread and eradication of Covid-19 in our country, the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Seoul has brought in another batch of humanitarian aid from the Republic of Korea weighing about 2 tons, Dunyo reported.
The cargo in the form of 20 units of multifunctional medical beds with a mattress and a semi-automatic mechanism was formed with the support of the South Korean company Suwan TPL and sent to Uzbekistan on 23 May by a charter cargo flight of Uzbekistan Airways JSC.
The diplomatic mission of Uzbekistan in Seoul continues to actively attract humanitarian aid to combat coronavirus infection, primarily high-tech medical equipment (portable x-ray equipment, syringe pumps and other accessories) for the needs of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The remaining part of the humanitarian aid worth more than 135 thousand dollars with a total weight of about 17 tons will be sent as the next cargo charter flight is organized.
The arrival of humanitarian aid to Tashkent is expected today.
