Uzbekistan Temir Yollari commented on the collapse of the protective concrete slab
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On the eve of the day, photos were posted on social networks that captured a site with a failure of soil near the supports of overpasses of the capital’s elevated subway. This was reported by the information and analytical media center.
The Directorate of Capital Construction of Uzbekistan Temir Yollari studied this fact and found that the cause of the failure of the soil, upon entering the capital’s Shahsanam Street, was the collapse under the ground of a protective U-shaped concrete slab above the water pipe with a diameter of 1200 mm. According to representatives of the State Unitary Enterprise “Suvsoz” in Tashkent, there are no damages in the communication of the water supply structure and leakage. There is a possibility that the pavement and concrete slab could not withstand massive external pressure. The cause of the incident is the responsibility of the relevant services.
Currently, employees of the city water supply and sanitation organization are carrying out repair and restoration work.
Meanwhile, we emphasize that there is no cause for concern for our fellow citizens about the impact of this incident on the ring metro line under construction. The scene of the incident is located between the pillars 10 meters from the elevated overpass under construction and, according to experts, is not a threat to the facility.
