Tourism Development Institute joins UNWTO Academy
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The Tourism Development Institute under the State Committee for Tourism Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan has joined the UNWTO Academy (UN World Tourism Organization) as an affiliate member.
Joining the UNWTO Academy enables the Institute:
- to participate in all activities of the World Tourism Organization;
- use the resources of the Academy and on-line platform;
- have access to the latest and relevant information in the industry, trends and scientific research, a specialized training program for managers and specialists of tourism companies;
- It will increase the attractiveness of Uzbekistan in academic and scientific terms in the international tourism market, and implement joint projects.
In 2021, the membership of the Institute for Tourism Development under the State Committee for Tourism will be officially ratified at a meeting of the UNWTO European Commission.
The Institute of Tourism Development under the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Tourism Development, created by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the basis of the State Unitary Enterprise “Tourism Training and Consulting Center,” began its activity on October 10, 2019. The Institute was created with the aim of conducting fundamental and applied scientific and practical research and research in the field of tourism, providing services in the field of science and education, training and retraining of personnel for the tourism industry.
