Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky has appointed a new ambassador to Uzbekistan.

According to the decree of the head of Ukraine, Nikolay Doroshenko was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Uzbekistan.

Prior to this appointment, he worked as the Ambassador of Ukraine to Kyrgyzstan. At this post, Doroshenko replaced Yuriy Savchenko, who completed his mission in Uzbekistan in March 2019.
