Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The coronavirus pandemic and the cessation of air traffic cannot be an excuse to suspend operations, especially as part of the implementation of investment projects that are important for various sectors of the economy.
In order to ensure consistent and continuous implementation of projects in the regions of the republic with the attraction of foreign investment, negotiations were organized in the form of a video conference with the participation of representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Tokyo, the khokimiyat of Andijan region and the Japanese company UMEKEN, Dunyo reported.
During the negotiations, a thorough exchange of views took place on the issue of joint implementation of a project aimed at creating an enterprise in Andijan region, at the initial stage - on packaging, and subsequently on the production of biologically active additives according to Japanese development.
Sakamoto, the founder and chief executive officer of the pharmaceutical company UMEKEN, discussed current and future joint measures aimed at preventing a pause in the process of implementing a joint project against the backdrop of a coronavirus pandemic.
Following the results of online negotiations, an agreement was reached on creating a joint venture in the near future and accelerating marketing research in order to further organize the packaging enterprise.
Despite the difficulties associated with the spread of coronavirus in the world, H. Sakamoto confirmed his firm intention to participate in the implementation of the mentioned project in Andijan region.
The parties also exchanged views on the practical implementation of the project, including regarding the registration of a medicinal product, speeding up customs procedures, using a network of pharmacies to conduct marketing research as soon as possible, and ways of delivering products from Japan to Uzbekistan.
