Uzbekistan, Malaysia discuss creation of a service center in Bukhara region

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - On 13 April 2020, the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Malaysia organized a video conference with the leadership of Serba Dinamik International Limited (SDIL), which was attended by Ambassador of Uzbekistan Ravshan Usmanov, Deputy Head of Investment and Foreign Trade Bukhara region Furkat Tilloev and vice president of the Malaysian company Palendran Palachandran, Dunyo reported.
At the event, the parties discussed the possible implementation in Bukhara region of a project to create a Central Asian service center for the provision of repair services for industrial equipment of enterprises by introducing advanced environmentally friendly devices and technologies, including 3D printers and modern management methods. To implement this project, it is planned to attract US$15 million of direct Malaysian investments.
The Malaysian side announced its interest in implementing the above investment project and its readiness to begin work on its practical implementation as the epidemiological situation stabilizes.
In order to consider the possibility of further implementation of this project, agreements were reached on signing a memorandum indicating the preliminary terms and obligations of the parties to establish a service center and submit proposals to the Bukhara regional khokimiyat at the location of this facility indicating the availability of transport and communal infrastructure.
