The liquidation process of Uzbekenergo starts

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 31 March, the sole shareholder of the state-owned Uzbekenergo, which is subject to liquidation in line with the presidential decree of 03/27/2019. No. PP-4249, the distribution balance sheet, agreed with the joint-stock companies Thermal Power Stations (TPP), National Electric Grids of Uzbekistan (NESU) and Regional Electric Grids (REG), was approved.

The shareholder decided to start the liquidation process with its completion within the time period specified in the Regulation “On the procedure for voluntary liquidation and termination of business entities and exclusion from the state register of persons not carrying out financial and economic activities”, approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of 08.21.2019. No. 704.

Moreover, the shareholder approved the composition of the liquidation commission.

By presidential decree of 03/27/2019. No. PP-4249, consent was given to the reorganization of Uzbekenergo by creating a TPP, NESU and RES, as well as:

- reorganization and liquidation of individual organizations that are part of Uzbekenergo JSC (as per appendix No. 1 to the PP);

- transfer of non-core and unused assets and shares of JSC Uzbekenergo and its member organizations (according to Appendix No. 2 to the PP) for their subsequent sale in 2019-2021 to the Agency for Management of State Assets (AUGA).
