Procedure for transferring of employees to remote work approved

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - An order “On approval of the Regulation on the temporary procedure for transferring workers to work remotely, according to a flexible work schedule or at home during the period of quarantine measures” passed state registration at the Ministry of Justice.
According to the regulation approved by order, during the quarantine period, the employer, with the consent of the employee, can transfer him or her to remote work, flexible work schedule or work at home.
Moreover, pregnant women, elderly people, people with disabilities and workers with chronic diseases enjoy this right in the first place.
The transfer of an employee to work remotely, according to a flexible work schedule or at home is made out by order of the employer.
The amendments to the employment contract for the transfer to remote work, along with other working conditions, indicate the following:
- The procedure for interaction on electronic document management;
- providing the employee with the necessary equipment for work, establishing the procedure for using technical means;
- providing the employee with communications, using the Internet;
- conditions for damages in case of damage to equipment provided by the employer to the employee;
- the procedure for reimbursement of expenses when an employee uses personal equipment, technical equipment, the Internet;
- obligations of the employee and the employer regarding the necessary labor protection and observance of working conditions;
- conditions for the transfer of an employee to a permanent job when a production need arises.
Employees transferred to this method of work retain the right to receive labor leave, temporary disability, as well as other rights provided for by law and a collective agreement.
