Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A meeting was held in the Navoi regional branch of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan (AN RU) with the leadership of the General Directorate of the Main Directorate for Research and Exploration of Minerals of the Republic of Turkey (MTA), the press service of the Academy of Sciences reports.

During the meeting, the Turkish side introduced the main areas of its activities related to mineral exploration, research, assessment of mineral resources, data collection and analysis. Turkish guests emphasized their interest in developing cooperation with Uzbek partners.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on considering the possibility of creating an Uzbek-Turkish joint venture, the activities of which will be aimed at collecting information on promising mineral deposits, conducting exploration work, as well as searching for new ore occurrences.

It is assumed that in the future, the joint venture may become the core for the formation of an information and analytical center for the coordination of investment flows from Turkey in order to introduce new integration mechanisms for the relationship between science and business of the two countries.

The Navoi branch of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan will participate in the development of economically feasible projects, and the MTA will present them to potential investors. The joint venture will provide Turkish businessmen wishing to open a business in Uzbekistan with scientific and technical projects for further development.
