Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Negotiations were held in Dubai between the air administrations of Uzbekistan and the United Arab Emirates on the development of cooperation and mutual direct air links between the countries, Dunyo reported.

During the negotiations, the issues of determining airlines for charter flights, the frequency of their implementation, the opening of new directions, as well as the use of the “open skies” regime introduced at the airports of Karshi, Termez, Nukus and Bukhara were discussed.

In order to develop direct air links between the cities of Uzbekistan and the UAE, the parties agreed to arrange flights of the Emirate airlines from Dubai to such cities of our republic as Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, Karshi, Termez, Urgench and Nukus.

At the end of the negotiations, the parties expressed their readiness to further expand air communication and signed the corresponding protocol.

Undoubtedly, the results of these negotiations will give impetus to the development of Uzbek-Emirate trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian ties, as well as the development of cooperation in the fields of transport and tourism.
