Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade meets with Ambassador of Turkey

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 2 March 2020, the Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Sardor Umurzakov met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkey to Uzbekistan Mehmet Süreyya Er.

During the meeting, the results of the visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Turkey were discussed, which became a powerful impulse to intensify the multifaceted economic cooperation of the two countries.

The Turkish side was informed of the great attention paid by the Government of the Republic and personally by the Head of State to the intensification of bilateral investment and trade partnerships between Uzbekistan and Turkey, as well as the adoption of a separate government decision fixing the format, mechanisms and terms for the implementation of investment agreements and trade contracts concluded with Turkish partners.

It was emphasized that each individual project has a high priority for the economic development of Uzbekistan, in connection with which the Uzbek side will make every effort to create all the necessary conditions for the successful work of Turkish investors and trading partners.

The leadership of the Ministry assured that the practical implementation of the agreements reached will be monitored on an ongoing basis in close cooperation with the involved ministries, departments, banks and companies from the Uzbek side.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on close cooperation in order to facilitate the accelerated implementation of joint projects and agreements.
