Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The First Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan I. Jasimov met with the delegation of Istanbul Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Metals Exporters’ Association, headed by Tahsin Öztiryaki (Turkey).

At the meeting, the parties discussed the issue of investing by Turkish partners in the economy of Uzbekistan, as well as further expanding trade and economic ties and developing mutually beneficial cooperation in financial, technical, scientific, educational, innovative and tourism spheres.

This meeting was held with participation of business circles of Uzbekistan and Turkey, where the second side was represented by more than 30 business representatives.

The trade turnover between the two countries last year made up US$2.25 billion. Of these, US$1,07 billion accounts for exports and imports reached US$1.18 billion.
