“Roadmap” for the development of mathematics approved
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Based on the tasks identified by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan at a meeting on 31 January 2020, dedicated to the development of mathematics, chemistry, biology and geology, on 19 February, the Central Bank, the Ministry of Innovation Development and the Institute of Mathematics named after Romanovsky at the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan approved a Road Map for the development of mathematical science, the practical application of its achievements, increasing youth interest in this science, financial support interest of youth, scientists and young researchers in cooperation with the banking system.
The Roadmap envisages the creation of a special Fund for financial support and development of mathematics, as well as the establishment of a special scholarship named after Academician T.A. Sarymsakova for students and researchers studying.
The document also stipulates material incentives for teachers and scientists for their merits in the development of mathematics, stimulating the participation of scientists and young researchers in international scientific and practical events abroad, encouraging students to participate in international competitions, organizing regular meetings and forums for young scientists and university students from the participation of scientists who have achieved great success in the field of mathematics.
