Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - A delegation of the Uztekstilprom Association took part in the Premieré Vision international exhibition in Paris, Dunyo reported.

At the stand of the Osborn Textile domestic company organized as part of the exhibition, yarn from cotton, viscose, modal, polyester and acrylic was presented. Presentations of the possibilities of the textile industry of Uzbekistan were held here, which attracted increased attention of representatives of French textile, exhibition companies, educational institutions and visitors.

During the presentations, it was emphasized that Uzbekistan has taken significant steps to eradicate forced labor in cotton picking, and to transfer to cluster management. It was noted that the republic seeks to enter the list of countries covered by the generalized system of preferences of the European Union GSP +.

Representatives of Uzbekistan held a number of meetings with the organizers of the exhibition and the leadership of textile companies in France and other countries.

Thus, during negotiations with the General Director of Premiere Vision Gilles Labord, the French side was pleased to note the quality and high technology of Uzbek yarn. It was emphasized that the company's participation in the exhibition is evidence of the recognition of the conformity of its products to the high requirements of the Selection Committee of the exhibition.

Following the talks, J. Labord suggested discussing the possibility of organizing a separate national showroom, where, in addition to textile products, it will be possible to demonstrate the cultural and tourist potential of Uzbekistan.

It should be noted that “Premiere Vision” is an international textile exhibition that takes place twice a year. This year over 1900 exhibitors from 30 countries of the world participated in it, and the number of visitors amounted to almost 80 thousand professionals in the field. Premiere Vision has 12 offices worldwide.

The exhibition provides business communication opportunities between representatives of this segment, designers, fabric and accessories experts, sewing professionals, retail chains, as well as wholesale buyers, distributors and importers.
