Electronic digital signature is not required for services in the centers of public services
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The Agency for Public Services always acts in the interests of citizens, listens to their opinions and suggestions.
To do this, various surveys are regularly conducted on the pages of the Agency on social networks. Thus, as a result of daily contact with citizens, shortcomings are identified that need to be addressed in order to improve our industry.
For a long time, the agency received citizens’ appeals related to the issue of the compelled necessity of a purchase, as well as about the inconvenience of using electronic digital signatures (EDS).
In order to minimize this kind of discontent, over 1,500 operators of Public Service Centers throughout the republic have installed special equipment - digitally signed tablets.
Today, using these tablets, you can use it when you receive 2 services:
- registration of the child in kindergarten;
- obtaining a criminal record.
Every day the number of provided public services confirmed in this way will increase.
There is a fundamental difference between these 2 ways of identifying the service recipient.
A digital signature identifies a person by reproducing a citizen’s signature on a computer monitor using special equipment — a tablet. Using this method, when signing applications, money and time of citizens will be significantly saved.
An electronic digital signature is also needed to identify a person in a digital space. EDS is a set of public and private keys that can be used using a special program. An electronic digital signature is recorded by an employee of the Center for Public Services on storage media, such as a USB flash drive, hard drive or mobile phone.
To obtain EDS, individuals must pay a state duty in the amount of 7% (15 610 soums), and legal entities in the amount of 10% (22 300 soums) of the base calculated amount.
While signing applications using a digital signature tablet is free.
