Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - A round table was held in the German city of Bonn on the topic “Modern Development of Uzbekistan: Actual Projects”, Dunyo correspondent reports.
Participants in the event, organized by the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Frankfurt am Main and the German-Uzbek Friendship Society in Bonn, were the leaders of the Bonn administration, German entrepreneurs and journalists.
The participants were informed about the modern development of Uzbekistan, the new economic processes in our republic and the favorable conditions for doing business, as well as the inexhaustible tourism potential of the country.
The round table participants paid particular attention to the first Tashkent International Investment Forum, scheduled for 5-6 March, which creates a broad platform for establishing and developing new business relationships with potential partners from around the world, including Germany.
The audience was greatly interested in the presentation of the trade, economic, investment and tourism potential of Uzbekistan.
During the briefing, the chairman of the Commission on Foreign Affairs and Science of the city of Bonna, Elke Apelt, sharing her impressions of her trips to Uzbekistan, stated that she had visited Uzbekistan for the first time in 2008 and since then has been a fan of Uzbek culture and architecture.
According to her, the Bonn administration is actively supporting bilateral relations with Uzbekistan, especially in the framework of partnerships between the cities of Bukhara and Bonn.
“We are pleased to welcome the ongoing socio-political and trade-economic transformations in Uzbekistan. Of particular note is the further deepening of ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan, as evidenced by the recent Message from President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the parliament of the republic. The announcement in Uzbekistan of 2020 as the Year of the Development of Science, Education and the Digital Economy will be a good platform for the effective implementation of new projects in the field of education, science and innovation, as well as the continuation of work to further develop the economy of the republic and increase the welfare of the Uzbek society. The administration of Bonn, for its part, is also ready to fully support its Uzbek partners in the implementation of joint projects, ”E. Apelt said.
During the round table discussion and exchange of views on issues of interest to the participants were also held.
