Uzbekistan sends humanitarian aid to China

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - By decree of the President of Uzbekistan, a humanitarian cargo was formed for the residents of China to support the fight against the outbreak of coronavirus.
On 11 February, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree on sending humanitarian aid to the PRC. According to the decree, Uzbekistan sent medicines, medical masks and other personal protective equipment as humanitarian aid to China, where an outbreak of pneumonia caused by a new type of coronavirus was recorded, the Justice Ministry said.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations is the responsible authority for the formation and delivery of humanitarian aid by special plane to China.
As part of humanitarian assistance to China sent:
disposable sterile medical gloves;
protective overalls;
filtering face masks
special medical form;
medical masks;
medical gauze.
The delegation of Uzbekistan, headed by the First Deputy Minister of Health, was sent to China to accompany and transfer humanitarian aid.
In order to prepare the second batch of humanitarian aid, the Uztekstilprom Association will ensure the production of medical masks and protective suits at textile enterprises of the republic.
